Privacy Policy

Bible Pro ("the App", "we", "us") is a Bible reading and study application that supports both private personal use and optional shared study groups. This policy explains what information we collect, how it is used, and what stays on your device.

1. Summary

• We do not sell your data, run ads, or include third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.
• To use the App you create a Bible Pro account; we store only the minimum needed to make the App work.
• Personal notes, journal entries, prayer lists, bookmarks, and reading preferences live on your device. They are not uploaded.
• Group features (group chat, shared group notes, annotations) sync content you post to a server we operate, so other members of that group can see it.
• Notification reminders are scheduled and delivered locally by iOS on your device.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account information

When you create an account, we store:

• The display name and handle you choose.
• A phone number you provide for sign-in via one-time code (used for authentication only; we do not text marketing messages).
• An account identifier and timestamps used to keep your session alive.

2.2 Group content (only if you join or create a group)

Bible Pro lets you join shared study groups. Content you intentionally post to a group is sent to and stored on a server we operate so it can be delivered to the other members of that group. This includes:

• Messages you send in a group's chat.
• Group notes you create or edit (synced via Yjs for real-time collaboration).
• Verse annotations (highlights, underlines, marks) you share with the group.
• Photos or other attachments you attach to a group message or note.

Anything you keep in your personal notes, journal, or prayer list is not shared with the group and is not uploaded — see Section 3.

2.3 Operational data

Our server keeps minimal logs (timestamps, request paths, error traces) to operate and debug the service. These logs are retained for a short period and are not used to build user profiles.

3. Information That Stays on Your Device

The following are stored in your device's local storage only and are never transmitted to our servers:

• Personal notes (your private scope).
• Journal entries (titles, body, tags, attachments).
• Personal prayer requests and answered-prayer history.
• Bookmarks and reading position.
• Daily prayer reminder times and check-off history.
• Theme, font size, and other display preferences.

If you delete the App or clear its data, these items are removed from your device and cannot be recovered.

4. Notifications

The App can send you local reminder notifications (for example, a daily prayer time you choose). These are scheduled and delivered by iOS on your device — they are not sent from our servers. You can disable them at any time in iOS Settings → Notifications → Bible Pro.

5. Third-Party Services

The App does not include third-party advertising networks, analytics SDKs, or tracking frameworks. The only network calls the App makes are to our own backend at https://bible.access-term.com, which we operate.

6. How We Use Your Information

We use account and group data only to:

• Authenticate your sign-in.
• Show your content to the correct people (you, or members of a group you joined).
• Operate and improve the App (debugging, fixing crashes, restoring lost data on request).

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing.

7. Data Retention & Deletion

You can request deletion of your account and any associated server-stored group content by emailing the address in Section 10. We will delete it within 30 days. Local-only data is removed by deleting the App from your device.

8. Security

Account data and group content are transmitted over HTTPS. Sign-in uses a one-time code rather than a password. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we follow reasonable industry practices to protect the data we hold.

9. Children's Privacy

Bible Pro is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
